Quiet in here, isn`t it ?
I`m new to beep.
Born in Germany, I married a Japanese and have been living in Japan for 12 years now.
I`m working as an English teacher and feel more comfortable in English threads than in German ones........lol

I have spend 6 years in Kobe, working for Nihon Schering in the Osaka office.
I know some phrases in Nihon-go, but forgot most of it.
Do you prefer the japanese way of life over the german way , annjp?

That`s a difficult question........
I loved my country, Germany has some really beautiful places to visit.
But since I`ve been living in Japan I found a few things that I like better here.

Last year I went to visit my parents and Germany has changed a lot......not for the better I might add.

Both countries have their goods and bads.........I need family and friends and those happen to be in Japan........lol

Well, there is an old saying: Home country is where your ancestors are buried.
But this might not apply anymore. I feel home where I bed my head for sleeping.

I have lived 5 Years in Israel. Being non-jewisch and German, i must say i felt more home in Israel then i do in Germany.I am born and live in the Switzerland, however Croatia is my nationality. I think in the Switzerland one can live better than in Croatia. Indeed there are not any wars in Croatia anymore and the politics built itself up slowly, but nevertheless I do not have any correct "link" to Croatia. Maybe, because I do not have friends there?

What do you have what you do not have here in Israel? Is it only the home feeling or something other

Its the home feeling... my friends, the life (easy and relaxed), the parties, the weather, the women :D, its just a wonderful country to live in and I hope that some day i will live there.

welcome to the english beepworld forum! it's very funny to meet other people from other countries in this forum even if there aren't many people online at the same time. i'm afraid of it but i hope that in future, there will be more people in here. i'm from germany and i never went to england to improve my english so i'm sorry about my school - english. my englishteacher thinks my english is very well, i'm the best pupil in my class at the english lesson but i also think that i could do something to improve my english. i don't like it and i think it could be better. ;) this year, i'll finish school and after it, i will change to a school who is teaching languages like spanish and english .. and also italian i think. but i really look forward to change to this school because my dream is it to become a guide in other countries.

i'm sorry about this long long text but every text i write helps me to improve my english. :D
