About the Theatre and Membership

The Playhouse is a theatre club and as such can only be open to club members. Members must be registered 48 hours before attending the Theatre. Please bring your Membership card with you to all performances.

For an annual fee you can become Patrons of the Society and receive one or two (depending on status) tickets for each of the 6 major productions. The Patron's Secretary will confirm your booking approximately 10 days before each production. Membership is included in the Patron payment and represents a considerable reduction in the cost of a tickets over the Season. Please ask at the Box Office or any of the Front of House team for further details and an application form.

Patron - £35 (1 ticket to each production)

Dual Patrons - £79 (2 tickets to each production)

If you wish to help the Theatre even more, then why not become a Vice President. For an annual fee you can become a Vice President of the Society and receive one or two (depending on status) tickets for each of the 6 major productions and make a small donation to the running of the Theatre. The Patron's Secretary will confirm your booking approximately 10 days before each production. Membership is also included in the Vice Presidents payment. Please ask at the Box Office or any of the Front of House team for further details and an application form.

Vice President - £45 per season (1 ticket to each production including donation)

Dual Vice Presidents - £90 per season (2 tickets to each production including donation)

There are two types of membership: Acting Membership is for those wanting to participate in the running of the Theatre. Appearing in productions, helping back stage, with costumes, stage lighting or sound, set building or being out front when the audience arrives. As a Member you will be notified of Productions and receive a reduction in the cost of a ticket (no phone call is made). If you would like to join as an Active Member ask at the Bar or Box Office for further details on how to join, if you want to become a Member ask at the Box Office for a Membership form. Non acting membership enables tickets to be purchased at £5.
