TRIVIAL PURSUITS - 30 SEPTEMBER - 4 OCTOBER

We have just finished the run for Trivial Pursuits and this was very successful in terms of box office ticket sales and bar takings.   Thanks to all those involved - cast and crew and a very big thank you to the tremendous support from our friends and members who came to watch! 

CHRISTMAS VARIETY SHOW – 12 DECEMBER 2008

UPDATE ON REFURBISHMENTS

We still plan to create a history wall of past productions – we need more frames to be kindly donated and memorabilia to complete this project.

We will be obtaining quotes to replace the auditorium ceiling, bar door and wall.

We are still considering the installation of a stair lift  next year if possible.

THEATRE LETTING

In an effort to increase our cash flow it was agreed that letting the Theatre to external groups and individuals would give a healthy boost to our finances.   However it was discussed that whilst increasing income it put an extra burden on members to offer their help behind bar, box office, front of house, technicals etc and therefore we need to appeal to our members to consider if they will be able to commit to help on these occasions. 

The rental figures involved were agreed as follows:

Weekly Hire Charge - £500 with a cancellation fee of between £100-£200 depending on timing.

Nightly Hire Charge - £100

Rehearsal Charge - £10 per night

HELP!

This is the usual plea for help with Front of House duties and behind the bar.  Now you have next season’s dates may be you could pop a note in your diary of when you might be available to help us.

FRIDAY NIGHT RAFFLE

Pam Mann our Costume Lady kindly does the raffle on most weeks during the Playhouse season but on occasions she is not available.   If anyone would be able to assist in helping with this very important role on the Friday nights that Pam is not available please contact Andy Nettleship on his number or email as detailed above.
