A Northampton actress is returning to the theatre that she performed at, in numerous amateur shows, between 1990 and 2003, and bringing her professional one woman show ‘From Me To 3792’ with her. She returns to the Playhouse Theatre in Clare Street, Northampton after a 6 year absence. ‘From Me To 3792’ by David Hendon was written with Caroline in mind and debuted at Birmingham’s Old Joint Stock Theatre earlier this year. ‘From me to 3792’ is a powerful, emotional and entertaining play, centred around Diane, who has a seemingly idyllic lifestyle and would never have dreamed of writing to a total stranger, let alone a murderer, but she is not content and after a disparaging remark from her husband decides, on a whim, to write to a prisoner on death-row in America. Is she doing this because of the lack of love from her career focused husband, increasingly independent children, or is it a cry for help? The consequences of her actions reveal more to her about life and her marriage. After the success of the shows in Birmingham Caroline is now taking the show on the road with Northampton being her first stop before she starts to plan the rest of her tour. She felt that it would be particularly special to commence the tour from the theatre where it all began. The show will run for 3 nights beginning Thursday 17th July at 8pm until Saturday 19th July 2008. Tickets are priced at £9 (concessions are available) and can be booked with The Playhouse Theatre direct on 01604 627791 or online at booktickets@theplayhousetheatre.net or by contacting 07752 660051. Reviews from the show include the following: "It was very brave to set the play with one character - but it worked brilliantly. The actress Caroline Nash's performance was fantastic - I really felt as if she was one of my mates telling me about her experiences. I'd like to see the combination of David's writing and Caroline's acting again. Very enjoyable." – Remotegoat.co.uk “Never once did you wish for another actor to appear or a melodramatic turn. Her performance was never overplayed and she quickly developed an emotional reality for the character; believable in every sense.” – Helen Crutchley, Redbrick Online ‘From Me to 3792 offers a totally unpretentious theatre experience that allows everyone - regular theatre-goer or not - the authority to dissect it without worrying whether you've got it right.’ – Remotegoat.co.uk For More Information Contact The Playhouse Theatre on 01604 627791.
