We have recently visited:

CHILDRENS CENTRE - HALLOWEEN DISCO, PUMPKIN CARVING, FANCY DRESS, BOUNCY CASTLE PLUS LOTS MORE..... 
 
OUR OWN HALLOWEEN PARTY!
 
AND BRIGHT LIGHTS DISCO AT ST JOHN'S CHURCH
 
We have also visited
Transport Museum, Dinosaur Museum, School Life Museum, Whaling Museum, Big fun, Humber Bridge Park, Sewerby Hall, East Hull Fire Station, Hull Fair, Hollywood Bowl, The Deep, Dinostar Museum, Scarborough and Beverley, Organized Firework displays and also a Teddy Bears Picnic!

PIRATES AND MERMAIDS EVENT AT MARFLEET CHILDRENS CENTRE
VISIT TO YORVIK CENTRE TO ENHANCE OUR PRESENT VIKINGS & ROMANS THEME!
VISIT TO NATIONAL HERITAGE HOME AND ABBEY INCLUDING 'MONKS ACTIVITY WORKSHOP' 
WHERE THE CHILDREN WILL GET OPPORTUNITY TO DRESS UP, PLAY AND LEARN ABOUT THE MONKS!
VISIT TO EAST HULL COMMUNITY FARM!
We also visit Scrap Store, Library, toddler groups, Rascalz and Parks regularly!  
We also attend lots of different Workshops both Term time and Holiday Time,
These have included:
Funky Junk Percussion
Charlotte’s Web
Story Teller
Rainbow Craft
Creature Feature
Chinese New Year Celebrations and Crafts,
 
HAVE LOTS OF PICNICS (including themed ones inside, if weather poor!)
And have also been conquering (many times!!).
We involve the children in shopping, choosing & buying their own food for lunch, trying different fruits and foods,
They all seem to enjoy this!
The children have also been involved within:
Previous Halloween Parties which were a fantastic success and all the children who came along looked fantastic in their costumes!
Previous Pantomime Trip at Hull Truck Theatre!
This was fantastic and enjoyed by all!

And Easter Activities!
A visit from a Volunteer of the Local Blind Institute and a young man who is Registered Blind & his Guide Dog!
We have visited the Humber Rescue Centre at Hessle Foreshow!
This was wonderful and enjoyed by all!
The children got the opportunity to dress up in the life coats and rescue outfits including hats and wellies!
They also so and talked about lots of rescue photos and were especially interested in the rescues involving animals!
They practiced rescuing people and even got the chance to go in a lifeboat (on land!)
It was very interesting and especially fun and we all learned something on this day!
   We have regular fun filled Dental Health Workshop's from a Dental Health care Educator were the older children get to experiment on their own teeth to see if they have any bugs present!
They also show her how they brush their own teeth (even the younger ones!), and receive help and advice on how to look after their teeth and gums!  They dress up as dentists and dental nurses and look at certain foods and drinks that are good or bad for teeth!
We have our own Brush Bus so each child as their own toothbrushe so can brush their teeth after lunch!
We also have regular fun sessions from a Health Promotion Officer who provides many fun activities regarding topics like healthy eating, recycling & the environment!
He also brings along a special light box that helps the children identify how well they have washed their hands! They all enjoy doing this!
 
 
 
 
 We have also been along to Marfleet Children’s Centre for a fun ‘Hawaiian Event’. This was lots of fun for all involved. The children enjoyed beach music and party games, bouncy castles, sand and water fun, arts and crafts activities and lots more.
 and we continued with this theme by having our very own Hawaiian Disco and Tea later that day.
  
 
  We have also been to visit Tropical World in Leeds. This is a fantastic tropical island where we the children got to see humid rainforests, tumbling waterfalls, swirling pools of colourful fish and many exotic plants and flowers. The children also got the opportunity to see between 30 and 40 varieties of butterfly. 
And also Lizards, Spiny Mice and snakes, plus Tortoises and the Boss Monitor. The Water Dragon and Degus. We tryed see if we could count how many ring markings the tortoises have on their shells, this is how you can tell their age. Keepers believe that 'George' is one of the oldest tortoises in Britain at somewhere between 50 and 60 years old!
We also visited the Nocturnal Zone and as our eyes became adjusted to the dark environment Owl Monkeys, the only monkeys in the world to come out at night we have been told looked back at us. With other residents such as the Egyptian Fruit Bats whose usual habitat includes tombs and pyramids, the rare Bush Babies of which there are only 12 in the country this is a fascinating exhibit. Also we so Sugar Gliders which have been bred quite successfully as part of the ongoing conservation programme at Tropical World as well as a mating pair of Giant Jumping Rats – and all their baby Rats!!
We made use of the lovely gardens and had a wonderful picnic lunch, visited the nearby park and went on a nature walk around the lake, it was a fantastic day enjoyed by all.

Pickering Park and Reptile Centre where the children GOT the opportunity to see snails, lizards, spiders, fish and birds and lots of other amazing animals!

Skidby Windmill for a ‘Celts, Celts, Celts’ workshop - The children strikeD a Celtic coin, maDe iron age pottery and jewellery, and designED and build their own Model Warrior Chariot! 
Beverley for lunch and a walk around this lovely historic Market Town!

WE WERE EVEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A VISIT FROM AUROURA LIMOUSINES SO THE CHILDREN ALL FELT LIKE KINGS AND QUEENS AND HAVE LOTS OF LOVELY PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN!

A GREAT FUN FILLED DAY WERE THE CHILDREN ENJOYED SEARCHING FOR VARIOUS WILDLIFE AND ENJOYING THE GREAT OUTDOORS!

WE RECENTLY ORGANISED A FUN LEARNING FIRST AID SESSION APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES BY ST JOHN'S AMBULANCE , THIS WAS SOMETHING THE OLDER CHILDREN HAD SPECIFICALLY ASKED US TO ARRANGE!  THIS WAS A WONDERFUL SESSION WERE THE CHILDREN OLD ENOUGH LEARNT WHAT TO DO IF THEIR PARENT/CARER OR CHILDMINDER BECAME UNWELL AND HOW TO PLACE SOMEBODY IN THE RECOVERY POSITION.  THE YOUNGER CHILDREN LEARNT HOW TO CALL FOR HELP IN AN EMERGENCY AND THEY ALL PRACTICED BANDAGING TECHNIQUES, IT WAS A VERY FUN SESSION WERE ALL THE CHILDREN LEARNT SOMETHING.

 

We went to East Park and Woodford Leisure Centre for a

Family ‘Come and Try It’ Sports Day!
This was a fun day were the children played Table Tennis, Badminton, BasketBall, Trampoling, Archery and even went Kayacking and much more.
