This block was full of businesses until February 2006. There was The Bric a Brac Shop on the front, Mill Studios and The Chinese Boxing Gymnasium on the front. New Life Churchused to be on the ground floor, the two floors above this was Border Cordage rope factory. On the top floor was Tagish Ltd. Website Specialists. At the back used to be a small garage. There was also a Joiners workshop next to Tagish Ltd.

We knew they wanted us all out so they could build this development. We wondered how they could possibly do it.

On Saturday February 11, there was a fire accidentally started causing all the businesses in the block to move out.
