Fundraising Bag Pack

First of all I would like to say a very big thank you to all the parents who allowed their children to attend the bag pack. It was a very tiring six hours but we reaped the rewards. A special Thank you to Ian Caine and Michelle Steel who gave up a day of their weekend to help me out along with coach Craig Armstrong.  Out of everyone though this whole event would not have gone ahead if not for Calum Andrews mam Joanne and his nana who organised the whole thing. Thank you so much for your input into the club and we all appreciate what you have done for us.
The lads had a very good time and I was over the moon as most of them did not want to leave until the very end, I am so proud of their attitude and behaviour on that day and it goes to show what a very good bunch of lads I have and would be proud to take them anywhere.

Managers comments

After a busy month things are looking up for the lads. We have had some very positive feedback from opposing managers regarding our team. For instance Barnards Castle’s and Spartans managers have both said that we were the best team that they had played all season and this is coming from teams where the lads have played together for years. Well done to my lads who have not had a steady line up since the beginning of the season due to four new signings and a couple of leavers. I would just like to say that I am proud of you and if we are doing well enough to get comments like this I am extremely hopeful for the remainder of the season when things are more settled.

New Team - A Message from Gary
I am delighted to say how pleased we are with the start of Seaburn under 12’s team. For me this is my first year in team management although I have two years experience as coach with another club. I am delighted to say as well that I have great support from my newly appointed coach Ryan Miller and fitness training help from Craig Armstrong. We are also over the moon with the amount of support from all the parents and wish to thank them for their support on Sundays and also the help in getting all the lads to and from matches.

Sponsor
We were very lucky to obtain a sponsor for our strips thanks to Matthew Cain’s dad Ian. The company he works for JH Johnson Shopfitters kindly became our strip sponsor. Thanks Ian for badgering them and thanks to Johnsons for giving in.

Captaincy
Jamie Emmerson became captain of the under 12’s squad . We chose Jamie for his constant effort and drive and his outstanding leadership qualities on and off the field. Lets hope he can lead us to promotion.

Goal-Grabbers so far:

Cameron Raine 4, Dylan Parry 3, Ellis Allen 1,  David Hall 1, Jamie Emmerson 1.

Lambton Lyons V’s Seaburn 4-2

After leading at half time 2-1 with goals from Dylan Parry and a superb header from Ellis Allen, Lambton came back in style and took all 3 points with a great second half display.

Ryhope CW Juniors V’s Seaburn 4-2

Another  three points given away after two well taken Cameron Raine goals and total domination of the first half. Seaburn crumbled again in the second half to allow four goals from Ryhope to take all three points.

Wearmouth Youth FC V’s Seaburn 2-3

A well earned three points after goals from David Hall, Cameron Raine and a great strike from captain Jamie Emmerson. Two late efforts from Wearmouth were not enough as Seaburn’s rear guard held up well.

As a team we are looking forward to our first home match on the 1st October in our cup match against Whiteleas who are currently running high in the second division.
