CULTIVATE BEAUTY
What does it mean to “cultivate beauty”? This could mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. What if for the month of APRIL citizens throughout Louisville turned off their televisions, egos, & self-centeredness & did something inspirational. You could work in your yard, serve your neighbor, help the helpless, make a piece of art, record a song… This list goes on. What will you do to cultivate beauty? One idea is to enter the Cultivate Beauty Film Festival.
The Sojourn Cultivate Beauty Film Festival is an annual (5th) event presented by Sojourn Community Church. Sojourn is a Christian church that is heavily involved with local music, art & film (i.e. Aslans How art gallery/venue). Cultivate Beauty is the theme of our annual Film Fest. Because of our beliefs & values our idea of what it means to Cultivate Beauty may differ from yours, however we encourage diversity and welcome your film presentations of ways to cultivate beauty.
Who: Any filmmaker wishing to have their film recognized for all it’s greatness & desiring to have their film
viewed publicly.
What: A Louisville, KY based Film Festival with the intention of “Cultivating Beauty”, developing a stronger film community & continuing to build upon our strong artistic culture.
When: April 27th-29th
Where: The location agreement is still in the works, however we can guarantee a public space that is ideal for film viewing in Louisville, KY.
Why: For the love of film, to be creative & productive, to have your film judged by a panel & viewed by the public, & to “cultivate beauty”.
